I was born in 1951 in the small town of Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. LB is a small, market town in the South East of England whose main claim to fame is still the 1963 Great Train Robbery but it was, and is, home nonetheless.
I worked in most of the local factories in and around Leighton Buzzard as a teen before finding employment as a landscape gardener in the town and surrounding villages. This allowed time to encourage my love of books and go on to become a very accomplished dealer in modern first editions. The industry declined and I reluctantly turned to graphic design before embracing the world of post compulsory education.
Now I have turned to my own life diaries to publish the first installment of my memoirs.
‘An honest and compelling tale of escaping a mundane dead-end life in England for love, freedom and a second chance in Cuba.’
Caliente ~ A true story of escape, love and trouble. Lots of trouble.

Extremely cool and I have a photo of Leighton Buzzard, taken from the train window … because my brother wanted it. Why? Who understands the culture of Californians. I’ve lived in New York for seventeen generations, and also have a place in Paris (which I call home, because it is, in fact I’m there at the moment!). I’m a tad younger than you, but I’ll accept an offer of marriage !
